ON-OFF Devices

ON-OFF Smart Home & IOT Solution is made of Modules & Devices.
Modules are hardware or virtual entities that contain hardware or virtual Devices.
Hardware modules are ONOFF-IOT, RF-HOME-CORDINATOR, RF-AC-DC-4-OUT, RF-AC-DC-4-IN & more.
Virtual modules are USERS, TIMERS, SCENARIOS, MESSAGES, VIRTUALS & more.
Modules (hardware or virtual) embed into them Devices (hardware or virtual).



Digital Output Device:

Digital output device, represent a device (appliance) that you turn it ON or OFF.
For example Lights, Boilers, Doors, Water sprinkler, Siren or,
any other appliances that is turned ON and OFF.
Digital output devices are in RF-AC-DC-4-OUT module or as set in ONOFF-IOT module.
Digital devices respond to ON & OFF events.

Setting digital output device in SETUP software:



Representing digital output in a PANEL:
Right click 'PANELS' in the site tree & select 'Add Panel' at popup menu.
Set the name of the new panel.
Right click the panel in the site tree & select 'Add Widget Icon' at the popup menu.
Set the icon size & position for the Landscape panel (1).
Set the icon size & position for the Portrait panel (2).
Select the icon for the ON status (3).
Select the icon for the OFF status (4).
Enter the text for the icon (5).
Select the Module & the Device, which this icon is representing (6).
Click the Action to execute when this icon is touched (6).






Digital Input Device:

Digital input device, represent a device (appliance) that can be switched ON or OFF and you want to monitor.
For example Switches, Buttons, Motion sensors, Fire sensors, or,
Any other appliances that are switched ON or OFF.
Digital input devices are in RF-AC-DC-4-IN module or as set in ONOFF-IOT module.
For DRY contacts inputs use ONOFF-IOT module.
For inputs that carry electric stream on their outputs, use RF-AC-DC-4-IN module.
Digital devices respond to ON & OFF events.

Setting digital input device in SETUP software:
Set the name of the digital input.
Click 'New' for each EVENT/ACTION.
Set the EVENT which will be handle (1).
Set the ACTION to be executed for the event by selecting the Module, Device & ACTION (2).



Representing digital input in a PANEL:





User Device:

User device, represent the individuals that use the ON-OFF solution in your site.
Each user, is represented by Name, Pin code (4 digits number), Phone number & Email address.
Only pin number is mandatory, for login & use the system.
With email address, users can receive automatic emails from the system.
With phone number, users can receive automatic SMS from the system.
Setting User device in SETUP software:
- Right click 'USERS' in site tree.
- Select 'Add User' from popup menu.
- Set 'Name', 'Pin Code', 'Email' & 'Phone'.
- Click 'Update' to save & update the site with the new user.

Timer Device:

Timer device is used to fire ACTIONS based on Date & Time.
Setting Timer in SETUP software:
- Right click 'TIMERS' in site tree.
- Select 'Add Timer' from popup menu.
- Set 'Timer Name'.
- Click 'New' for each EVENT/ACTION.
- Set the EVENT, ON or OFF to respond to (1).
- Set the target Module & Device that will execute the ACTION (2).
- Set the ACTION to be executed by the target Device (3).
- Click 'Schedule' to set the Date, Time & Events for this TIMER.



And set any combination of Date(s) & Time(s) to fire Events:






Scenario Device:

Scenario device, is a device that represent a status or a situation were
your site, is currently in.
For example: ALARM, AT-HOME, VACATION, WINTER... etc.
Use Scenarios, to trigger ACTIONS bases on the status of your site.
- Right click 'SENARIOS' in site tree.
- Select 'Add Scenario' from popup menu.
- Set 'Scenario Name'.
- 'Update'.
Adding a Scenario:



Set/Reset a Scenario:
- Select the 'SENARIOS' module as the target module (1).
- Select the Scenario as the target device (2).
- Select Set/Reset as the Action on the Scenario device (3).



Setting an Event to fired only on specific(s) Scenario(s):
- Double click on the 'Scenario number', that need to be change (1).
- Deselect 'Always'.
- Select the desired Scenario(s) (2).
* In this example 'Siren' will turned ON 40 second after motion detected (3).






Virtual Device:

Virtual device is like a Digital device, but without real appliance.
Use virtual devices for complex and/or repeated tasks.
Use virtual devices when you want devices that only represented in PANELS.
Virtual devices respond to ON & OFF events.

Message Device:

Message device, is a device that represent a message that can be sent to a USER by Email or SMS.
